What is Holonyx, in one sentence?
An operating system for scientific work: every experiment, sample, test and batch record lives as one connected, audit-ready record, from a scientist's first result to a manufacturing release.
Is Holonyx an ELN, a LIMS, or a MES?
It does what those three separate systems have traditionally covered — a lab notebook, lab testing and results management, and manufacturing execution — but as one connected record instead of three disconnected ones. We call the three parts Research, Lab & QC, and Manufacturing; underneath, it's a single graph-native system, not an electronic notebook bolted to a lab information system bolted to a manufacturing execution tool.
Who is it built for?
Bench scientists running experiments, QC analysts running tests and releasing lots, and manufacturing teams executing batch records — small molecule, biologics, or cell & gene therapy.
Does it support 21 CFR Part 11?
It is built to support it: a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit trail and record-level electronic signatures are part of the data model itself, not a separate module. Compliance also depends on your own procedures and validation; the compliance page sets out the controls one by one.
Does it replace our lab instruments and equipment?
No — it connects to them. Instrument gateways read chromatography systems, plate readers and other lab equipment directly, so results are captured from the instrument, not typed in from a printout.
Do we need to host or run anything ourselves?
No — Holonyx is a fully hosted, multi-tenant SaaS platform. We run the infrastructure, backups and scaling; your organization's data is isolated from every other organization on the same platform, not by separate servers you manage.
Do you offer academic or non-profit pricing?
Yes. Universities, public research institutes and non-profits doing public-good science can use Holonyx on different terms. The platform is the same, with the same record and the same audit trail; the price reflects who you are and where you work. That includes reduced pricing for non-commercial academic research, and access pricing for non-profits and global-health work, including in low- and middle-income countries and on donor- or grant-funded projects.
